Solar cooking is a simple, safe, and convenient way to cook food without consuming fuel or heating up the kitchen. Many people choose to solar cook for these reasons. But for hundreds of millions of people around the world who cook over fires fueled by wood dung, and who walk for miles to collect wood or spend much of their meager incomes on fuel, solar cooking is more than a choice — it is a blessing.
A solar cooking device is made of simple materials that are readily available. One good thing about it is its simple design and the absence of fuel to cook food. But why would anyone cook solar when cooking stoves are already in place? Simple, health and the environment.
